mixed news

Well there is excellent news and bummer news, but it will all be good in the end. First the awesome news... GRANDPA GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL!!!!! He is on the mend and will be home in a couple of days. The bummer news is that the house deal fell through and other people put in a better offer..... I guess it wasn't meant to be. Now we just have to sell this one. I don't know what is going to happen, but it will all be good in the end I am sure. Plus we are all ready to be out of Casper. Thank goodness mom and dad are welcoming us into their home. We are very fortunate. I just hope it isn't too long before we have a home up there. So, if you know of a house in Thermopolis or a piece of land to build on...... let us know, we are looking once again. Talk to all of you soon. Only two more days here. Till next time...

on the mend

Grandpa is feeling much better today and should be getting out of the hospital Wednesday if he continues to recover so well. Just wanted to give all of you the update. Take care and have a great week.

Change of plans

I just wanted to write a quick note and give another Hawaii update. Yesterday as my fam was going to Hilo to prep for a flight out this morning... my Grandpa Scott's cold got worse. Mom and dad took him to the ER there and he was admitted. He had pnemonia and since he is 81 and has a bad heart, they admitted him. We are hoping and praying for a speedy recovery so that he can return home soon and get out of the hospital. I am sure he would love to be back to his dogs and his own bed. But, for now please send good thoughts or prayers his way... whatever you believe in. He needs all he can get right now. This really makes our house mess seem minor and I can't wait to see my fam and feel lucky to be able to spend a couple of weeks with them..... take care everyone and I will post more news as it comes in.

Upcoming b-days

I just caught a break in my crazy day trying to get some things done before an open house and packing really gets underway. Since things are going to get busy here for the next few weeks, to say the least, I wanted to wish Glacier happy b-day tomorrow... you are growing up too fast pup. And in the middle of the month...I mean right in the middle.... Maggie is going to be celebrating a b-day. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THOSE WARNERS!!!! I know it is early, but I didn't want you to think I forgot. I hope there are a lot of tennis balls for you Glacier and Maggie I hope the weather cooperates and on the 15th you will be able to take your hike. Take care everyone...............

More updates from Hawaii

Grandpa, Jen, Dave, and Lane going for a ride.

My fam!!!

Now he is HOT!!!

Dad and Dave just sent me pictures from the tropical vacation. Jennifer, Dave, the boys and Vivian went swimming with dolphins. The boys had a blast and although Chance was a little apprehensive of the dolphin to start out, he really was excited once he touched it. Sounds like they are having a blast. They are now on the big island and enjoying their time staying in a large house that they rented for a week. Jennifer, Dave, Lane and Grandpa went on a helecopter ride the other day and all of them have many more exciting adventures planned. I will post more pics of the fam as they come in.

We are doing well here. Yesterday we went house hunting and to our delight we found a house that we liked and thought had a lot of potential. We made an offer and should hear back before long. Hopefully the owners except it and we will be moving in to the house sooner than later. But, only time will tell. I will give more updates when we get them in. Also on our end, people are looking at the house every day. Today we had a bunch of agents come in, run through the house, and then they left without saying much. After they were gone the smell of man perfume lingered. This selling a house thing is getting more strange by the minute. Take care everyone and I will talk to you soon.

My big boy..... what a ham.
Baby smiles... rocking out a bit of sitting practice on the couch.
A little game of peek-a-boo.
Just a mindless fact: Jackie Chan has a Segway dealership.....

The fam

dad

mom with the surf instructor

For those of you that don't know... my whole family is in Hawaii. This includes my parents, sister and her family, grandpa, and my aunt and uncle with their family. We found out that we were going to have Jacob during the planning period for this trip so we didn't go. Turns out it was for the best since we are moving in two weeks. Anyway... here are some pics my dad sent to me of him and mom surfing... looks like fun.............

Opportunity and New Beginnings

Life is a crazy thing. It is full of moments, exciting, frightening, happy, and sad. I find it amazing that some moments include more than one of these feelings.

Colin and I have had so many wonderful things happen in our lives so far. Two and a half years ago we had a wonderful opportunity present itself here in Casper. When we moved here we were excited, yet terrified of the unknown. I think that is normal when a new situation presents itself. Since then we have bought our house, which we love and we have added to our family. Casper has had many draw backs, but it has been a good step for us. There have been many good things here. Everything in our lives good and bad make us what we are. I will never take anything back because I love who I am today and I love everything about my life. Sure there are down moments, but those are just character builders.

Once again Colin has been presented with a wonderful opportunity. He will be going to work for a company called Gas Ventures out of Thermopolis Wyoming. This is very exciting since we will be closer to family and it is a great career move for Colin. On the other hand we are selling our house. It is our first home and we have worked so hard to make it ours. Leaving it behind will be very sad, but there will be a new home and as long as we have each other it will be perfect. Also we will be leaving behind some wonderful friends and we will miss them very much. Thank goodness we will be visiting them often and hopefully they will do the same. Also, we don’t have a place to live yet, so we are on the hunt. Hopefully we will find something quickly.

So, in two weeks we are moving again. My parents have been kind enough to let us stay with them until we find something of our own. It is a new beginning for us and we look forward to what may come.

Take care everyone and I will have more pictures and info to post soon……………..
