Halloween Fun!!

This year Halloween has been nothing less than wild and crazy. The kids have had events every day and I can say that we have gotten a lot of use out of their costumes. It isn't even Halloween yet and we have so much candy we don't know what to do with it.

We started with the great pumpkin carving experience. We grew 3 of the 4 pumpkins we carved. They were beasts. Jason jumped right in and cleaned his pumpkin all by himself. Jake was grossed out by the thought of the yucky slime... his words. In the end Jake was helping his dad and coloring all over his pumpkin. Jason not only got to draw the face on the pumpkin, but he helped cut it's face out. Our kids are growing up so very fast.

A couple of months ago Jason and Jake decided that they were going to be Buzz Lightyear and Woody. They are so cute. In my mind they make the best Woody and Buzz of all time. Just look at the pictures.

Jake got to show his costume off first at storytime. We had a grand party. We picked up Jake's friends, Ellis and Sofia, and went down to the library to sing songs, read books and eat snacks. It was a complete success.

Jason got to dress up the next day for school. Jake and I joined in on the fun. We went trick or treating at businesses. THANK YOU KIDDIE KOLLEGE!!!! That same night we went downtown to enjoy in the festivities. There was a costume contest, a parade and so much more. Here are some pics of the boys at the costume contest. SO MUCH FUN!!

Now we get to prepare for a weekend of more Halloween fun. Happy Halloween to all of you and have a great weekend.... May it be a ghoulish one......

Family adventures continue

The last few weeks have been full of fun. We had family pictures taken, went to the University of Wyoming homecoming game, and even spent time at the pumpkin patch.

Here are some family pictures taken by Black Lab Designz. They aren't edited yet, but here is a sample.

The UW Homecoming game was so much fun. As we walked into the stadium the boys' eyes got huge. We all enjoyed ourselves so much.

In preparation for Halloween we made a trip to the pumpkin patch. The boys picked out their own pumpkins and we will be carving them this week.

Halloween is just around the corner so I will have some great pictures very soon. Hope all of you are doing well. ENJOY!!!

Family Vacation!!!!

Colin and I just returned from the most epic vacation with the boys. We started our trip in Laramie. On the way down we saw an elk bugling and even a badger. We did our best to get some sleep that night, but the excitement a lot to handle. The next morning Colin had to take his PG exam while the boys and I explored.

Our first stop was the Geology Museum. The boys loved the dinosaurs.

The boys got their Big Al shirts at the museum and had to wear them all day. As soon as Colin finished his test we headed to Denver.

Jason and Jake were just excited to get to another motel room. Colin fought through traffic and got us there in one piece. We had a few bumps in the road with Jason nearly having an accident since we couldn't pull over in the bumper to bumper traffic. To top it off I used my awesome navigation skills and got us a little lost. But, in the end we made it to the motel. Thank you Colin.

The boys loved to chill out on the motel bed. The biggest excitement came from the knowledge that we were going to the Denver Zoo the next morning. Jake couldn't stop talking about the giraffes and Jason just couldn't wait to see an elephant.

When we woke up the next morning we rushed to get out and get to the zoo. The fun was just getting ready to begin. As we walked into the zoo entrance the lions started to roar. They were so loud and impressive. What a great way to start the day!!!

Jason had this dream of seeing an elephant and that is just what we did.

Jake had to take off after a goose. The goose didn't like it, but the giggles told us that Jake was having a blast.

Just as Jason wanted to see the elephant, Jake wanted to see a giraffe more than anything. His eyes were so big when he saw them. They were so big that he was in shock.

When we saw the flamingos the boys had to stand on one leg just like them.

We ended the day with a train and carousel ride. Both boys loved it. Their smiles were from ear to ear.

The zoo was just a great experience. We had our small meltdowns, but it was a grand adventure. The four of us made memories to last a lifetime.

Once we finished at the zoo we headed north to Laramie. That night we had a nice dinner and got some rest before going home. On our way home Colin was pleased to pick up his new gun. It is a savage 270.

We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Our time together was just priceless. I can't wait for our next adventure together!!! Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Take care and ENJOY!!!

And It's a PARTY!!!!

On September 25th we really surprised mom!!!! She had no idea that Jen and I had been planning a party to honor her 50th. After weeks of planning and fibbing (that is what we prefer to call it), things fell into place. Mom, the boys and I headed to Powell to check out Jen's beautiful new renovations while the guys set up with help from Uncle Mike, Sis, and Matt (THANK YOU!!!). After a morning of not telling the truth we finally made it back to Meeteetse and Mom was shocked. It was wonderful.

Happy Birthday!

To start off, she was crowned Ms. Bossy Pants. This is an honored title which is difficult to attain. We even had people show up via web cam (Uncle Bryan and Aunt Diane ROCK!!!). The cake was incredible and we had fun! It was a success.

Thank you all for coming. We couldn't have asked for a better crowd. Have a great rest of the week!!!! ENJOY!!!

Beginning of September 2010

September started with Jason going back to school. He was so excited to walk through the doors of Kiddie Kollege again. Jacob was just sad that he couldn't go.

Ready for school to begin.

After a wild week of school beginning we were ready for the long Labor Day weekend. Boy was it fun. Colin and I went camping with friends while Jason and Jake played with their cousins at mom and dad's house. We were able to do so much fishing and had a blast. The pictures tell the tale.
