HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

As Halloween approaches we dive in to all of the traditional activities, you know pumpkin carving and trick or treating. This year is more fun since Jason is really, I mean REALLY, into Halloween. Even though he knows very little about the Hulk, he chose to be him this year. It is quite a big deal. And for those of you that didn't know, the Hulk growls a lot. There is also the mandatory thing you must do with your arms... it is kind of a flex, but not really. I have to say that Jason is the best Hulk I have ever seen. In fact, he should do movies. Now Jake didn't have much say on his costume. This year he is Batman. It wasn't a difficult decision since it was the only warm costume with buttons for an easy diaper change that I could find. His costume is all about practicality, too bad he eats his mask.

The boys ready to hit the town and get some candy!!! (We went trick or treating in Cody last weekend)

Jason even wears his mask with his pj's..... he really wanted to wear it in the bath too.
Tonight we had The Great Pumpkin Carving Adventure. It is the title of the evening. Jason had a blast. He had to draw a funny face for his dad to carve, although the funny face resembled brown spots and squiggles on a pumpkin. Then when the carving was finished and the clean up was happening, Jason added more to the pumpkin by stabbing it a few times. Oh was he proud of his own carving skills..... even though the poor pumpkin looked like it had been brutally attacked with one of those safety pumpkin carving knives. Thankfully you can't see the wounds unless you are just looking much to close at the pumpkin.

The three of us working hard on our pumpkins.
Jake doing his part...... being very quiet and letting us finish the job.
I know Jason is without a shirt again, but this time is so he can stay clean... too bad he wipes his hands on his pants.

The final product by light, with the a very proud Jason.
Our pumpkins glowing.
I had to throw this last picture in just because it was cute. Colin was on the phone and Jason wanted to fish, so Colin put him on the car to do just that. Who knows, maybe he can catch something like and oil fish in the garage someday.

Happy Halloween to all of you. My next post will most likelly be from our new house. I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe weekend. Take care and I will look forward to stories of moving next time I share...... Bye for now.

On the road again!!!

I would like to believe that we are the kind of people that don't have much going on in our lives. In reality, we move more than the average person, and we tend to make a big deal out of any little event. It seams as though our house isn't going to sell any time soon, so we decided that it was about time that we take the plunge and move out of mom and dad's house (even though most people do that once in their lives..... I am doing that for the second time in my life). Jake does like sleeping in the kitchen though; he always has a bottle close by. But, with the roads getting bad and a death on the bad roads near by bringing us back to reality, we came to the conclusion that we need to be in Thermopolis for now. Colin doesn't need to be on bad roads every day and it is the season for that as all of you know. So as of November 1st we will be residing in Thermopolis. We are very excited about this move..... and moving is something we have become very good at. So, it is another sort of begining for us and a new adventure. It will save Colin at least 2 hours of driving every day and will bring Jason closer to the dino center. The fun will never end in our house. I also wanted to share a few pictures of the men and a little video that makes me laugh every time I see it. Also Jake is not only crawling, but he is officially pulling himself up on things. Once he is standing he usually takes a hard crash, but he is doing it. Jacob's new skills make Jason a little more protective of his toys and his jealouse streak is now showing it self more often. I am sure that Jason will get used to having his little brother be so active and soon realize that he is a full time play mate. I hope all of you are doing well. Take care and I will post more soon............
The Moody Men playing a little ball.

A close up of the little man after a big meal.
So, you may or may not wonder what we do for fun....... well we laugh and this video will hopefully make you smile too.

GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason feeding Jake a little formula.... He really just wanted him to stop crying.

Oh the kids always seem to bring a smile to our faces. Jake in now on the move... YES!!! He now crawls and crawls. The only question is, why do kids always go for the bathroom first, toilets aren't that cool. If that were the case potty training would be easy (Jason proves that to be false). We are doing well. Last weekend Colin and I left the boys with Grandpa Jay and Grandma Connie. They had a blast building snowmen, flying paper airplanes and running through their huge house. It is like a giant fort. Colin and I made our way south to Laramie to enjoy in the excitement of homecoming weekend. At half time of the game we realized that the 50 + mph wind and the 27 to 0 score wasn't cutting it, so we went to enjoy the warmth of a good bar with yummy food and freshly brewed beer. It was a good weekend of wonderful food and beer that is beyond my words. This week we are back to enjoy in the wild children going crazy around the house and the dogs doing much of the same (Moe runs away every day).

On the family update. For those of you that don't know, mom and Lane got mono and were diagnosed a couple of weeks ago and are both recovering slowly... that sickness has some sticktuativeness. Also grandpa was in the hospital last weekend with bacterial pneumonia, but is now on the mend as well and home again. We just pray that we will all be healthy and we are past the worst of it. On another note, dad hit a deer last Thursday with red and she is done for... at least until dad decides to Frankenstein her. I am sure she will be on the road again one day. Thankfully he is ok and the deer didn't suffer. I hope all of you are doing well. Take care and I will post more later.

Jason at Jonathon's birthday party. I can't believe our nephew is 4 now. (Jason blew the candles out for him too... a little embarrassing)

The boys really get along well, even when Jake is beating up on his big brother. Jason is the best big brother EVER!!!!
