20's Murder Mystery Party

Me and Colin ready for the big night.
It isn't every day that we get to enjoy a party where we act, laugh, and try to use our wits to solve a pretend murder. We did just that last weekend. The fitness center here in town had a party and I took on the persona of Donna Wannabe and Colin was Sly Sleaze. We got character profiles, studied them and got dressed for the evening.

Women of the 20's dressed to kill
The corrupt men.
When we showed up we ate dinner and got more instructions on what we needed to accomplish during the evening. Laughter and what I would consider excellent acting filled the room all night. We had to visit and try to figure out who dun it!! People were using bribes and threats to solve the mystery.

Richard Simmons!!! AKA Ryan.

Richard Simmons travelled through time and put on a short show.... Talk about funny!!!!
It was a wonderful evening of fun and mystery. Definitely an experience we will never forget. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
I hope all of you are doing well. Take care!!!

Fam Time

This is a picture we took one evening when we were playing in Jason's room.

Jake being his wild self while Jason was at school.

Jason got this Darth Vader mask at his friend's birthday party and wanted to even sleep in it.

Hanging out with my men.

Our boys are just like Colin.... I love this pic.
Jason is quite the little helper and rocks when it comes to loading the dishwasher.

Jake thinks that Eskimo kisses involve biting my nose.

After traveling it was so exciting to get home and just spend time together. January came so fast.
Colin found a new passion.... duck hunting. He really does enjoy getting out on those crisp days.
As for me and the boys, we have been getting back into the swing of things. Jason was thrilled to get back to school and his friends. Jake and I have been utilizing those days Jason is gone to really bond. When Jason was a baby we had so much time to play and get to know each other. I am very thankful that I get the same time with Jake. My boys are amazing and make me laugh so hard.
Nothing too exciting has happend in this last month, but I sure do wish I could
slow down time.... Hope all of you are having a wonderful January as we are. Enjoy!!!

End of Dec and New Years

Jason prefered to shovel the yard, not the walks.
Jake helping shovel the walks.

The birthday celebration.

Jason wished for a Hulk toy when he blew out his candles. When I told him that the top of the cake was a toy.... his eyes lit up.... Amazing.
spending some time with the fam.

After Christmas we always prepare for a week of wild. This year we continued the tradition and celebrated. Our vacation was delayed one day by a huge storm, but we did eventually get to SD for our week long vaca. We met the fam and had a wonderful time.

Our first full day there we celebrated Grandpas birthday. It was so much fun and wonderful to see Grandpa and Grandma. On the 28th Colin and I celebrated 7 years of marriage. That night we hit Deadwood with Jen and Dave. It was a great time. Only two days later the celebration continued with our little Jason turning 4. It is so difficult to believe that he is getting so old. We welcomed the new year with open arms. Colin and I weren't able to stay up to the 12 mark, but we still had a wonderful time.

I can feel that great things will come this year. Each and every day is full of excitement and you never know what is next. Happy New Years to all of you!!!! I hope to visit more friends this year and spend more time with family. Now to get back into our routine. Enjoy everyone!!!!

Christmas Program

Jason ready to get his sing on.

Jason's class is pretty big and all of them can really perform.

Jake just wanted the candy cane.

Our singing man with the man in the red suit.
Last night Jason showed off his skills in his preschool program. It was wonderful. As you can see Santa and Mrs. Clause even came. It was a very special night. We are so proud of Jason. And as one parent said, the singing and laughing really does get you in the Christmas spirit. It was complete with one kids getting sick during the program and boy were we excited that it wasn't Jason. We are also thankful he wasn't in the line of fire. Even with the little burp in the program, IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! Merry Christmas to all of you and we look forward to sharing more pictures soon.

Just a little taste of the performance

It is beging to look a lot like Christmas!!!

The cold cold cold.... it was only -15 when I took this pic.

The boys wearing off some of the energy by jumping on the bed.

A photo with the alum-nut fam.

The snow came with a lot of cold.... I mean really cold. We have been couped up indoors with below zero temps for a week now and we are very ready for it to be above the zero mark. To fill the time we have been playing hard and laughing a lot as usual.

Decorating!!!

More tree action.

Last weekend was full of fun and excitement. Mom and dad came Saturday to visit and play Santa. Sunday Connie and Jay came and helped us get our decorate on. It was a wonderful weekend and our tree is up and we are enjoying the lights.

I hear rumors that it is supposed to warm up next week and we are keeping our fingers crossed. Jason and Jake are patiently waiting for Christmas to get here. This means that Jason only asks two or three times a day if Christmas is here yet. The patience is strong in that one. It is a great Dec.

We have been attending parties, playing, wrapping gifts, singing songs and preparing for the big day..... I really should say big days. Next week Jason has his first Christmas program. Next up is Christmas. Then there is our 7th anniversary and on to Jason's 4th birthday. All of that will be complete just in time for New Years!!!!!

As always we are cramming it all in and loving it. I do have to admit, I gave Colin his gift early. This happens every year, but this year I really couldn't wait. The boys and I got him a PS3 and he loves it. We also got him some blu ray movies and games. The kids are amazed by it and we love all of the extras. It is pretty cool.

Now I have to get back to baking...... Have a wonderful week. I will try to post pics of Jason's program next weekend. Sending a lot of smiles, well wishes, and happy thoughts out to all of you....................
