Carving faces

With Halloween just around the corner it is time to carve some pumpkins. This year we grew some big ones so we picked 4 and had at it.

The boys were ready to dive in.

They loved drawing the faces. Little did they know they were about to get their hands dirty.

Jake was not impressed at first. Colin had to put his hand in the pumpkin for him. Then it was on. He even wanted to Help me clean mine.

Jason put on a tough face and dug in. It was obvious he didn't want to but he wasn't going to be shown up by his little brother.

The pumpkins were very thick. We had to use an extra long knife to carve them.

Here is the finished product.

The boys are so proud. It was a great evening. :) Can't wait for halloween!
- Enjoy!

wow! you have a green thumb, those pumpkins and the other loot from your garden looks so good!

I could use some of your garden nurturing. Travis says that our house is hospice for plants, because they come here to die...lol!

We did manage to grow a few tomatoes and one eggplant this year, not too shabby for my brown thumb. :-)

Take care!
